Founder's Story: From Burnout to Balance
Our founder, Susie S., was once a senior executive at an import-export trading company. For over a decade, she chased KPIs, crossed time zones, and lived out of hotel rooms. On the surface, a glamorous life — inside, chronic insomnia and anxiety. She tried meditation apps, melatonin, therapy, even silent retreats. Nothing truly grounded her.
The turning point came at a small mountain guesthouse. That night, a faint earthy scent helped her fall into a deep, dreamless sleep — no pills, no guided audio. It came from a string of beads by the bed. She later learned they were called He-Xiang beads.
She traveled deep into Xiapu, Fujian, where she found the last artisans preserving the ancient Tang-dynasty method. Each bead is hand-rolled 108 times — the masters say it's about infusing "stillness" into the material. She spent months learning this touch that no machine can replicate.
Today, Susie reimagines this thousand-year heritage through a modern neo-Chinese aesthetic — turning He-Xiang beads into minimalist bracelets, necklaces, and charms. Elegant enough for a business suit, at home with yoga wear. An ancient herbal tradition quietly returns to modern life.
Our Mission
This is not jewelry. It's a portable "quiet corner" — for anyone in a chaotic world longing to find balance again. It doesn't promise to heal you. It promises to keep you company.
Each bead carries the warmth of intangible cultural heritage, the energy of nature, and the hands of master craftspeople. For those burdened by urban stress or searching for a good night's sleep, this string of beads is not an accessory. It's a tangible thread to help you reconnect with yourself.
Healing is not a trend. It is a return.
